Austrotherm EPS and XPS products should be chosen according to moisture exposure, compressive load and the thermal design of the building element.
Façades, floors, roofs and below-grade applications do not place the same demands on insulation. Water absorption, compressive strength and edge detail can be decisive in exposed locations.
Adhesives, anchors, membranes and protective layers must be compatible with the selected board and substrate. Continuity around corners and penetrations should be detailed in advance.
